The marzipan pigs (a Danish good-luck symbol) are a signature item and the most popular edible souvenir in town. The shop is small but the selection is genuinely excellent — not tourist-trap candy.
Olsen's Danish Village Bakery

Beyond aebleskiver, Olsen's is the go-to for kransekage (marzipan ring cake), Danish pastries, and butter cookies. The kransekage is made in the traditional stacked-ring style and sold by the slice or as a full tower. Also carries packaged Danish cookies for taking home.
Mortensen's Danish Bakery

A smaller, less-crowded bakery with a good selection of Danish cookies, butter cakes, and marzipan pastries. If Olsen's has a long line, Mortensen's is the right move — similar quality, shorter wait. Their Danish butter cake is a highlight.
